The young Soprano, Nayoung Ban has her Professional Studies from Mannes College of Music, holds her Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree at ChungAng University in Korea where she also has her Bachelor's Degree.
Past credits include Mimi (La bohème), Nedda (Pagliacci), Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G.Paisiello), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) and Adina (L’Elisir D’Amore) with companies like Opera Ithaca, Mannes Opera, Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Manhattan Opera Studio,Mark Oswald Summer Opera Program and NewYork Lyric Opera. Also Euridice in Orfeo di Euridice, Vixen in The Cunning Little Vixen, Giulietta in I Capuleti e Montecchi and Juliette in Roméo et Juliette with Mannes Opera Young Artists Opera Scene Performance, Norina in Don Pasquale and Musetta in La Boheme with New York Summer Opera Scenes and she performed the Sandman in Hansel and Gretel with Manhattan School of Music’s Outreach Program.
Ms. Ban also has performed as a Soprano Soloist in ‘Hear my prayer’ by F.Mendelssohn with Peniel Women’s Choir, T.Dubois’s The Seven Last Words of Christ with Christian Broadcasting System of New York, Soprano Soloist in Gounod’s St.Cecilia Mass with GNC Orchestra and Soloist in Handel’s Messiah with New Hope Reformed Church of New York. Ms.Ban is going to join Maryland Lyric Opera Young Artist Institute and going to perform as Musetta in La bohème with Opera Ithaca in 2018.
